Heretat de Cesilia wineries and vineyards.
To finish with, I wanted to take into consideration Heretat de Cesilia wineries and vineyards. I'm sorry about my excitement but this winery is, no doubt, among my favourite ones. I will never forget about the vertical wine tasting that Sebastien Boudon, the winery oenologist, gave us. In this tasting, we could discover the Señor de Sirera 2007! A wonderful surprise! Ad Gaude wines were left for lunch. Subjectively speaking, this wine is the most complex one I have ever tasted. Bear in mind these two wines and taste them if possible. And what can we say about Oscar Sánchez, export manager. He is such a nice person that you can miss him immediately after having said goodbye to him. Best wishes and good luck with your "Think & Pink!". View pictures

López Mercier vineyards and wineries.
In Manzanares, Ciudad Real, we visited López Mercier vineyards and wineries, no doubt the biggest wineries that we have ever seen or visited. Gerardo Madrid, export manager, welcomed us and showed us his impressive facilities. View pictures
Hijos de Alberto Gutiérrez wineries and vineyards.
With more than 350 years of history, needless to say that Hijos de Alberto Gutiérrez wineries and vineyards, located in Serrada, in Castilla León, is one of the greatest without any doubt. At last, we met in person Biljana Gavranović, marketing and export manager. There, we were also nice to meet Juan Carlos Ayala, the technical manager, and the winery chairman, too, Pedro San Martín López, who was so kind to sign and give us the book they have just published in commemoration of its more than 350 years of history. The truth is that we (Todd, Chen, Ruth and me) were really impressed by the beauty of the facilities in the winery and we will not easily forget this visit for lots of reasons. View pictures

Bodegas Arrocal.
At the end of the day and, to finish it in style, and very close to the previous visit, but still inside Ribera del Duero area, we went to Gumiel de Mercado, this time to meet Arroyo Calvo family and their Bodegas Arrocal wineries and vineyards, whose wines rub shoulders with some of the best wines in the country. We thank Rodrigo, Rosa and Moisés since we were showered with attentions all the time, but not only for that, but also because we were allowed to taste their incredibly good wines once again, a real pleasure for our senses. Bodegas Arlanza.
After that, we went to Burgos in order to visit Arlanza vineyards and wineries. In Villalmanzo, we were kindly welcomed by commercial manager, Rubén Villanueva and deputy chairman, Leopoldo Quevedo and also the oenolgist, José Moruno, who, as usual, showed us how to carry out a wine tasting properly. Bodegas Artajona.
We had already visited Artajona wineries twice before but we had never seen its lands; It was the right moment to do so. As usual, Fernando, Pablo, Sonia, among others, showed signs of the well-known hospitality from Pamplona and we were really grateful for all the good things that arose from that important guided wine tour. Bodegas Corellanas.
Our following destination was Corellanas wineries where Jose Daniel Ausejo, the general manager, was already waiting for us when we arrived. We were looking forward to meeting Raquel Álvarez, the oenologist, and we did, in fact. We want to thank Jose Daniel and Isabel, his wife, the fact the they opened their doors to us so warmly and also because they delighted us not only with an excellent dinner, but with a pleasant soiree we enjoyed the best. Coma Romà vineyard and wineries.
In June, Chen and Tod visited Spain for the first time. We took this opportunity to visit all of our collaborating wineries and vineyards. The first one was Coma Romà vineyard and wineries where we had the honour to meet Josep Guilera, the owner and oenologist. We visited the winery and the lands where, not long ago, people started to practise ecological agriculture, a type of agriculture which is very expensive but still very much valued by both American and European consumers.
